If I ever do a major project that's not Zebra Girl, it may very well be Maniacal Laughter. It's something I came up with in a Conceptual Illustrations class a ways back, and I've been toying with it ever since.
Actually, the premise is vaguely similar to Zebra Girl's. Emily Cringe is a cheerful, well-adjusted high-school student until, one morning, she wakes up to find that she's turned evil. Antics ensue as she and her family try to deal with her new, villainous urges. She mutates her dog into a giant monster (picture forthcoming), turns her section of the house into a gothic monstrosity, takes to wearing the above outfit, tortures her schoolmates with crazy devices... I designed it to be an ongoing series, possibly a cartoon along the lines of Dexter's Laboratory and Invader Zim. You can imagine. I'm currently scripting it for comic-book form in my writing class, which changes the format a bit from the original. Things have to be somewhat different for a different medium, but it's essentially the same idea.
My writing professor once noted that I seem to like transforming girls into things. I find that statement rather unnervingly accurate.
